한국조폐공사는 한국을 대표하는 현대 화가를 선정해 화가의 생애와 대표작을 재조명하는 「한국의 대표 화가 시리즈」 패키지를 선보입니다. 국내 최초 은행권과 같은 귀금속 지폐 형태로 제작한 프리미엄 컬렉션으로, 헤즈는 그 첫 번째 시리즈인 이중섭 패키지의 디자인 및 제작을 총괄 진행했습니다. 전반적인 블랙 무드에 무광 금박의 디자인이 절제된 고급스러움을 표현하며 소장 가치를 극대화합니다. 박스 안쪽 면에는 이중섭 화가의 작품 「아이들」을 인쇄한 면지를 삽입했는데, 프레임을 위로 당겨 하단 박스의 홈에 고정시키면 작품과 화폐를 한 번에 감상할 수 있습니다.
KOMSCO has released a package for “Masterpieces of Korean Painter Series.”
HEAZ designed the package for Lee Jung Sup, one of the representative artists of the series. This package holds a golden medal that portrays the artist’s life and his widely known artwork.
By adding matte gold press finish on black box, the package looks luxurious and restrained. The artwork of Lee Jung Sup, owned by National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, was printed and inserted in a frame, which makes viewers feel like they are viewing the piece at a gallery. The structure of the package was very considered; as you open the package, folded part of the package will pop-up, and allows you to see both artwork in the frame and the golden medal that is inserted in the bottom of the package. There are two small gaps on each side that help the package stay open and stay fixed. The portion of the artwork and title of the series was pressed on the sleeve that completes the package as a whole.
